CON ARTIST

家から歩いて5分くらいのとこにあるLOWER EAST SIDEの毎週金曜日にイベントをやってる結構ローカルな場所。。。CON ARTIST

アーティスト達(自称でも全然OKな感じ)がこのグループみたなのに登録というか参加してて、自分の作品を展示したり、売ったりもかな…できるスペース。

場所は写真にあるように、地下スペース。一見物置部屋みたいな感じだけどNYはこういう感じの地下スペースがたくさんあるので珍しくはないはず。

入るとすぐに服とかアートとかアクセサリーとかを売ってる店(この商品は多分アーティストたち作)があって、扉をくぐるとその奥にもう一つ展示スペースがある。

手作り感丸出しな感じで雰囲気満点。

結構コアな人たちの集まりなのかも…

ちなみにあたしが行ったのはあるアーティストのオープニング(展示が明日から始まるからその前日パーティ)で、ワインやビールが振る舞われました。

だいたいみんな気さくに話かけてきてくれたりして、「あなたはアーティスト?」って良く聞かれた。

another day another art


this was not for the opening ceremony, random gallery from the street.


the way this artist did on background canvas (it was not even a paper but cloth probably) was good idea to make a difference and strong image on this picture and message.

TALLYBECK contemporary

March 7th Monday

We went out craving some arts in the city even though we knew it is a gallery day off monday.

All black colored room set this fine artist ISLAND6 off to visitor's eye and it create specific atmosphere with Chinese modern and history mixed originality.

Alex Guofeng Cao

L.E.S. (lower east side) where many galleries are showing people who's next top new artist.


ChinaSquare gave me new inspiration.


Just a simple story like two main singer at that time but many controversy behind the scene.


When you look into each piece that create picture has strong mean; you will see simply how longit took to be done and also what this artist want to tell you.

NYC wide open for artist, you are living in the crowds of art, so to speak.


Gallery opening ceremony can be found almost every single day in the city.
